THE FLORIOGRAPHY SERIES
Works on paper with whitener and acrylic paint
14x22",  2016

Floriography is another name for the language of flowers that was coined in the Victorian era. The notion that a flower can often speak the unspoken emotion still holds true. Just like a neurotransmitter transfers messages between brain cells, flowers communicate the unspoken emotions that spread joy between humans.
The florals in this series are artistic decodings of various flowers. They come together to create a  mysterious wilderness, an unseen dance coming together with dots, dashes and strokes to embark a language of their own.
